I can't seem to get my site to be added to googles index.
I have spent an insane amount of time trying to solve this. I have tried adding the url to google and other sites months ago and on more than one occation, but google still hasn't added the site to its index. does anyone know where I am going wrong... my url...

if you could take a look and see where i might be going wrong... many thanks Jonnie.

In your case, you need some backlinks. Enter your site into some directories, and get some backlinks from pages that have been indexed in Google. Also, your site is still rather new (couple months old), so patience is also needed. But you have 0 backlinks, so that's where you need to start.

    - Make sure your robots.txt file is doing what you want it to.

    - Create a Google Site Map for your site (www.sitemapbuilder.net)

    - Either buy text links from high PR site or exchange link with relevant site whose link exchange pages have at least a PR4

    - Add fresh content to your site daily

    Good luck with your site...

    This always works for me.

Find a friend who has a site that gets cached every day (or at least very regularly) by google, and get them to link to your site. (most blogs that are updated daily are cached daily)

To find out if the site gets cached every day just find the site in google and click the link that says Cached

    Look for the date:
    This is G o o g l e's cache of ..... as retrieved on Oct 23, 2005 02:09:25 GMT.

A date from yesterday or today means that this is a site that Google looks at this site a lot, and if google sees a link to your site here, its going to follow it, and index it.
