Just looked at my logs and looks like the main monthly spider is still going, (started yesterday by the looks of things...)

Nah, that's more than likely the "freshbot." We get that every month around the middle of the month, I think this is when Google grabs what will be the cached version of certain sites.

google started for 01/03 shortly after the end of the dance. So google is spidering for more than one week!

do the math, (number of web pages crawled{millions})*(average time on site)/(number of bots) i would think it takes more than a week to do it.....
