    The most likely reason is that the content of the internal page is very similar to the home page and Google considers it a duplicate.

    Do you see any crawler errors in webmaster tools? Problems with your sitemap? Have you done any changes? Have you put any new outbound links on the page in question?

    If you type site:http://www.your-site/the-page.html in google, will it be shown on the result?
