Google Results Different.. Yet Same Page???

Hi Guys

This is a weird one for me, one that I have never come across before... maybe through being blind or because it is rare.

I have a site and the index page is optimised for 2 major Keywords...

If i type one of the keywords into Google, it brings back the results correctly ie

Title of homepage and the Description.. I check google cache and it says - as retrieved on the 3rd Oct. So all is good

Now I type in the second keyword...

And it brings back the results wrong!! ie

Title is Correct but the Description is wrong - in fact the description is of one I had months ago - I check Google Cache and it says - as retrieved on the 3rd Oct???

which cannot be right....... why would one keyword bring back the correct details yet another bring back wrong details... when they are both the same page and according to google the same retrieved date??

im a little flumaxed to say the least...

Much appreciated

If Google feels your dmoz description is a better description based on that particular keyword, then it uses that one instead. You can use the NO ODP to stop that though.
