Google Report Spam is a Joke

Does anyone feel that Report Spam in GOOGLE Webmastertools never works!

Google Search Results getting more and more SPAM sites coming out since the last update!

Hmmm you make a big assumption here. Google tells us they like to do things via algo and not via human intervention.

Thus when spam is reported even if the google team agrees it is spam it does not mean they will remove it. They will try to find a way to get the algo to remove it. This may take a considerable length of time.

As well as this what an individual considers spam and what google thinks is spam may be two different things. ie an individual sees keyword stuffing on a site that is doing well. They assume the keyword stuffing is helping that sites rankings and report it as spam. But the algo already deals with this by ignoring repeated keywords. Therefore keyword stuffing no longer affects rankings thus there is no need for google to take any action. The rankings are a result of other things which are not spam.

You need to remember most/many people who report spam are trying to get a competators website banned/penalised.

This tool is primarily not a way of getting a google person to remove a website it is a way of google gaining data to improve its algo.

The assumption the tool does not work is as flawed as the assumption that an individual can work out when spam methods are getting a page to the top of google.
