Google Note
If you have Goolge Notebook on your Google account and you are logged in you can see "note this" in the SERPs next to cached and similar pages.

Does anyone think this can influence SERPs?

It would seem strange that it could effect this but I have seen a 2 page jump on a reasonably competetive term and I can't attribute it to much else.

I have added a few articles and gained additional back links but it is only that page that I have noted that has gone up. Stuggling to think of how this could make such a difference. Any thoughts?

It is in the same SERP on multiple DCs wether I am logged in or out and from differnet locations.

Were you logged in at the time, could just be you that is seeing the increase, but i would imagine it would just be used for personalized search.

Loggin in or out - in the same SERP. I was aware of that. It must be down to something else I just can't directly attribute it to anything just for that page. I keep a running diary of everything that I do how ever small so I can correlate changes to actions.

Any thoughts?

Interesting... post it in the test forum and we will see... Matt says the toolbar vote buttons effect rankings so I would think that you might have something there.

I am wondering how it is possible for google to influence a website by notes... what if you wrote a bad note about a website, would google be able to tell that it was a bad note?

Do you really think anybody is going to waste time writing a note " I hate this site, don't ever visit it again"?
Very unlikely. Most people who make notes are because they want to return, they liked the site, similiar to bookmarks. How many bookmarks have you made to remind you not to visit a site?
