Post Google not using any internal site pages

Why is it that no matter what search term I type in relation to my page, google will never return anything but my index page?>

For example, I have a page in my site called cant-prove-your-income.html

If i type anything to do with that it just returns my index page?

I checked googles indexation for my site and it returns the pages site:www.amortgage4you.co.uk

and the google sitemaps tool has been running for months now, all the pages are optimised, contain original content and have quality backlinks pointing towards them?

Also one last really important question,
On my index page I have my content set out just as I want it and just as my web visitors would like to see it, I only have a limited amount of room for dailly news, would updating the daily news every day be seen as content changing to google?

I am not looking for an easy ride here, I add new content pages daily to my site, its just the home page I only have room to update the small daily news area,

I got onto the 2nd page in google for bad credit mortgages, since I have dropped to page 4, I am frantically trying to get back to page 2 or page 1 but I am worried that changing the front pages content could reflect a major drop for our site.

If anyone would like to see my site its at

    http://www.amortgage4you.co.uk

Its not the prettiest site, but its built for my visitors

    Any comments apreciated

A lot of your pages including that one are supplemental....

Ok, so if my [pages are supplemental does that mean removing the relevant text from the front page will make the pages non supplemental.

Am i likely to loose traffic through having loads of supplemental results?

And how long am I going to have to wait for my backlinks to register with google?

Also from what you can see are the links on my front page too many in number?

    Cheers

There's a number of reasons for pages to go supplemental, your content seems OK from the Dup POV, I suspect it may be down to the "quality" of the linkage post BD ....

What I am trying to do is optimise the index.html for my primary 2 keyphrases and then have my question phrases as pages in the site,

    index.html > 2 primary phrases
    cant-prove-your-income.html > question phrase
    buy-to-let.html > phrase

then using mylongtail I want to take visitors search queries and build pages around them to maximise not only my saturation in google but also to provide relevant results for visitors,

But I can't do this if google keeps making my pages supplemental.

I want to target visitors by using niche phrases in pages on a daily-weekly basis.

    Any ideas?

As long as you keep relying on "low rent" reciprocal links I can't see the situation changing much, IMO....
