    Will Google fix this issue?

You simply apply for a free Google mail account, signup to Google maps, fill in your business details and verify your listing with a mobile phone, or fake address.

The idea is to create links from the Google mapping system to websites that SEO companies are promoting, currently there is not much talk of this on the web and to think that 'Matt Cutts' now’s nothing of this is beyond me, as you can see, He is after all on top of all related Google spam.

So what’s happened here? This is my thought process.
Google is trying to mass market Google Maps in this Order.

    • Google Search Engine
    • You tube
    • Google Maps
    • Twitter like sites

This will control the mass in the long turn.

So what’s being done about this, knowing that Google is aware of this it can only suggest that this is not an oversight like many SEO companies believe this is, this really is a marketing tactic by Google!

The best way to market any product is to make you think you have one over on your competitors, this works really well, with the brains behind Google I can’t see this as being an oversight on their behalf.

Here is the system that’s works with 5 minutes.

    • Signup for a Google Gmail account – you could be anyone!
    • Sign up for a Google local listing account
    • Fill in your details about your business type
    • Your business name will now be your main keyword.
    • Your phone number works like this;
real number, additional number = real number, and mobile number can be any mobile number
    • Mobile numbers can only be used three times then they do not work
    • So go to eBay and buy a bulk load of simm cards for 30GPB you can get 200 simm packs
    • You can do 15 keywords per simm card
After you have completed the process above your listing will appear in Google within 5 minutes, and the algorithm does not seem to affect the results in anyway.

The listing is IP dependant so you can create multiple listing i.e. 70 listing for one business covering the whole of the UK.
This is not meant to discredit Google this is meant to show a potential floor in a system or a marketing method that Google uses to Mass Market a product and get people using it.
I discovered this last week, but there are problems. One - a reputable business puts up a false listing using a fake address - what happens when someone "finds" your business using directions provided by Google Maps? A frustrated consumer.

2 - when you put your website details on your listing, you let G know who's spamming their system. You don't think they'll do something to "reward" you for that when they fix the loophole?

3 - competitors will quickly notice your duplicates, and report them. What happens when G finds out you're spamming their system?

No way to prove any of the "reward' - but I'm confident these black hat methods won't go unnoticed for long.

Ummm keithyg? Are you the one on ebay.co.uk, selling simm packs in bulk at 200 for 30 quid, perchance?
