    Google PR replacement

For years I used Google PageRank as a very crude metric for a website's importance and visibility in the web ecosystem.

Now that PR is no longer reported, what's the best substitute? I'm looking for something that is pretty universal, free, and has some correlation with SEO value.

It is not the same but Alexa give you a very good tool to see how much traffic your website has

They've only asked for a guide, so anything like moz (domain authority) or majestic with their trust flow/citation flow.

It's usually a good way of getting a rough guide, the only true way to know is being Google though.

These could do the trick but it's important to say that they are self created indicators and even if they give insight, you can not use them as a corner stone (as it seems that was the case with PR for wygk) especially if you are working on small businesses websites.

I administrate a website that had PR 6 when PR data was removed from the bars a Moz DA 29 Moz PA:21, a trust flow of 24 and a citation flow of 27. It is a niche website for a university searchers association.

They are great indicators but do not show the same things, unfortunately.

PR was last updated in December 2013 publically, which is well within the time for a site to drop out of favour. As even if it got a manual penalty it would still show PR 6 on the toolbar. I would honestly trust Moz/Majestic data over a pagerank that is three years old.

But yes it is important to remember, they should be a guide and not set in stone.

Totally agree with you what I mean is that PR is calculated in a certain way, Moz DA PA and majestic trustflows are calculated in another. But they are todays major indicators of a website authority.
