Google Data Bases
Here is one that I have never seen. I optimized a clients site and found them to be #1 a targeted keyword in 5 of the google's data bases while the dance was taking place. One of the data bases showed this clients site #2. This was a good sign that the clients site should have been placed in the number 1 or 2 spot. The next day, the site was placed in position and an hour later their site was no where to be found. Has anyone heard of this before and or have an explanation.

Hi,

the explanation of your problem could be the google dance (so far, I don't think that it is). The second one - it was the freshbot. So, the site is only for a short time in the google index.

BUT, if it was the circumstance of the the google-freshbot, the site of your client will be in the google index, after the next dance.

Thats how brutal the dance can be sometimes..

As Innuendo said, it may have been the fresh bot, but was the site new or had it been in the index for previous updates??

The server may have had a temporary downtime, Google saw it as a 404 and removed the site???

So you were #1 on all servers but 1 and you were #2 on that, and you place 300+ now for the same keywords...

Man that's harsh! - Maybe the other 299 sites were mine! lol..

No just kidding, That is harsh, is it better not to know that you were up there, I mean had you not looked you wouldn't be so pissed off now...

Just a thought.
