The results from Google.com are influenced by the Freshbot indexing updated pages. Perhaps this is the cause - maybe you have updated your site recently and it is better optimized than the other sites.

No - your PR will only change after the monthly update.
Every day the main Google.com results suffer minor changes due to new pages being indexed and old ones being updated by the Freshbot. If you are making it to the 2nd place in the main index, don't worry, it's a good place to be Gringo. |

I think it's important that you understand the difference between PR and the position your site has when a search term is used in Google.
Your PR is influenced only by links (external and internal) and not by simple changes in the page content or coding. PR is only updated once a month (approximately), every time Google does a major index update, which some people call the "dance". It may be possible, however, to achieve better rankings in the search listings by changing the content of your site between major updates. As mentioned above, the Google index suffers minor changes almost every day due to the fact that the Freshbot is out there indexing new sites and discovering new content. This is NOT the monthly dance, just a process often called Everflux which may allow a site to move up or down a few places in the SERPs. Gringo. |

I know what is PR and how Google make the ranking.
I have done a structure to increase PR in two times. The first time after 14-15 days my site is passed from the 350th position to 156th.Now I have tried to boost PR again and I have changed the structure in the 22-23th on Dec increasing links otubound link to the site but till now I cant see any improvement. How ever what i cant understand very well is the "schedule" of things Google do to update Pr,databases index etc etc... Ok Google udpate Pr once for month. When Google update the cache version of a page?? When Google update PR there is the dance ok?? why if freshbot visit my site Google doesnt update the cache version of the page? Thanks for helping me,these are the question for today :-) Francesco |

Sometimes the cache get updated temporarily, and sometimes it doesn't. That said, once the fresh tag goes, so does the new cache, it reverts back to the cache that was retrieved during the last major crawl.
