Google caching URL minus www.
Hi,



When I perform the search [siteURL address blocked: www.myurldotcom)] I get 8 search results, yet when I perform the search [site:myurldotcom] I get 68 results.

This would indicate to me that Google is not caching the www. in my URL. Can anyone explain this?

This is quite common, and is known as URL canonicalisation. There's a link in my signature to the FAQs about this and how to resolve it.

Chances are it means that somewhere (either in you site or on an external site) there's a link to the non-www version.
