The possibility of a boost effect for new sites has been written about in these forums a number of times though not clearly defined. Some see it has a possible boost to allow new sites a fair chance, some say it's just a lag before Google settles the site to where it should be.

Since when can bad links get you penalized? Once they are discovered, their value does get discounted, but having them continually pointing at your site won't drop you (though there have been some notable exceptions with obvious link buyers). If bad links pointing to a site could drop that site's position, then what would stop me from buying links from a bad neighborhood to a competitor's site in order to get them dropped?

Yep... Two basic views of this effect. I think its a part of the QDF filter myslef. Google allows new sites unfiltered/dampened position on its SE for a period of time to see if the new site is topically relevant. If the new sites generates lots of traffic and low bounce rates etc they stay there if not they fall back to their rightful place until LJ moves them again.

The second view (which also seems very plausable) is that when google picks up a new site it takes the algo a while to find all the relevant infomation about this site. Thus the site is initally indexed mainly based on onpage releivance and the trust part of the algo is largely on hold. Once google has decided all relivant info about the site is known it than places the site into the appropiate place in its index.

I s'pose these two views are not mutally exclusive...

And what more would you expect with just one month old domain..

Said that, The site has just a few backlinks:

http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/advsearch;_ylt=AmUT_jGCEx7m5wU81n4BqALbl8kF?p=http %3A%2F%2Flivinglohan.tv%2F&bwm=i&bwmo=d&bwmf=s

And most of them are from social media sites.. which most of the times are useful only for gathering traffic and not much helpful as a backlink.. So.. after all is said n done here..Do have a look at the backlinks.. you will need more of them..
