Google have announced that the old SOAP API is no longer supported. It still works, but they're not handing out any new API keys. There's a new AJAX API, but that works completely differently.

Yes, it was there. The links are more obvious to me, because they have rel=nofollow on them -- which causes my version of Firefox to mark them with a fat blinking red exclamation point LOL.
