Getting upset now :(
Please can someone help me with this?????

I purchased my domain name before I had a site ready and uploaded a simple "Page Under Costruction" page while my site was being developed. The Under Construction page was up for maybe 1 month.

Now my site is live but when I google my domain name I am at the top of the SERP however the site being cached is still the "Page Under Costruction".

I have a link from a wesite that get's a good SERP however it isn't entirely relavent to my site however, I though that my new pages would get indexed from this?

It's been 10 days now since my site went live....what's going on????

You'll need:
- Patience --> 10 days is nothing for a new site to get indexed AND respected by the bots
- More links, lots more links. Googlebot will drop by more often as soon as more 'link juice' is flowing in

Thanks for the reponses

I understand that for ranking the quality of the link is very important but for getting the bots to index my site would adding my URL to my forum posts help to get me indexed quicker? I know this won't help my ranking.

It might help a bit, but not a lot. Of course there are lots more options: blog comments, your own blogs, social media sites, your online buddies' websites...... It takes a bit of work but it'll pay off if your site is any good.

I have done quite a bit of reading up on links etc but just needed to clarify this point.

Suppose I better start begging for links then I think this will be the most difficult task to start off with and will get easier once I am established.

one link from a page that is frequently cached by google can help you alot..just do mailing to get some good links..you will see the results..
