Getting links out of TV ads?

After much hard work my company has reached the point where we have enough money available to start running TV ads. So here is my question, how can i get the most, as far as SEO goes, out of running TV ads?

I've taken a look on YouTube for some examples in the insurance industry and found a company (LV - Liverpool Victoria) who have posted some of their TV ads online. http://www.youtube.com/user/LVAdvert
They have chosen to post a URL to a secondary site (http://www.lovelvinsurance.co.uk) on their profile page instead of their main site. Other than referral traffic (via the secondary site) and brand building, I see very little benefit in their efforts as far as link building/link bait goes. Users who do post links of LV's ads use the youtube url, which doesn't help their main site.

The only link building benefits from their TV ads seem to have come from press releases about these ads and their TV advertising campaigns. They are obviously writing and releasing these themselves, so they can't be seen as links generated by link bait.

Sooo, any ideas on how to get links out of TV ads?

Probably the key is to make an advert that is shocking/beautiful/funny enough to get people talking about it, a funny one is probably the best.

Place video of the advert on your website (and I mean host it yourself, a good solution is using flowplayer, www.flowplayer.org) and encourage people to embed the video on their site, as far as i am aware this will count as a link as the embed is just a link to your site.

Are you looking for a UK based advert? I have some contacts in the TV advertising world I could recommend you to if you want to PM me.

The Budweiser advert with the three frogs, remember? That was perfect, everyone was talking about! Can you think of something really cool like that, just like Channel 5 said. It's really got to stick. A cool idea, that spreads! A lot of adverts don't do this, which is a crucial mistake!

Here's the advert

Yep, got a vey funny ad in the works, which might even get pulled off air by the censors . Got a backup just in case.

Thanks for the info on flowplayer!

Nope, not in the UK, but thanks for the offer.

All you have to do is to transform the domain name in the brand itself. People remembers coca cola or nike or whatever you like, the domain name should should be the brand and should stay in their mind after the commercial ends. As I said the domain name should be brandable, easy to remember and the logo is crucial.
