Question get someone thrown off of google?

Is there a way to get someone thrown off of google?

I know it sounds bad but there is a guy publishing really bad stuff
against my company and it is just because he works for a competitor.
He is not using the competitions name and site though, he's doing a hate site
and they're getting up on the serps for my company's name as the keyword...
not as a competitor for a general keyword.

Does Google listen if you tell them someone is publishing false allegations
and outright lies... or are there ways to...

So any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

if his position is under yours, you can duplicate his content, so google will consider this guy is copying yours and his position will drop

or the other way around and his company's site will get banned. I wouldn't play with fire. Google is way too unpredictable these days.

You could at least try and file a "spam report" with Google... Make it concise, to the point and polite. Can't hurt really.

Contact the bad site's ISP though, they hate to have stuff like that under their wings...

Forget Google and forget contacting the offender. Go straight to your solicitor and get the standard letter asking for their website to be removed from the web sent direct to their website host or you will take legal action.

It's likely that one of two things will happen next. The website will be removed or the website host will demand that any reference to you be removed by their client then they will contact you to 'sweet talk' you. Either way, you win.

Yep, I also agree with this since approaching Google will not make any sense in this case.

And this is the fair way to handle such matters. Just move on them directly before going to make them banned through some other ways.

Google will not remove them because it is not Spam. What you are looking at is a lawsuit to have the site taken down. You would have to prove of course that what they are saying is not true. If it is true, then they have every right to have the site and share with others their experiences.

It all comes down to what the truth is and it would have to be argued in court.
