Get backlinks using freeware

I find a calculator software,"Farsight Calculator".It can save calculations as a small exe file(500k).
So, I think whether i can submit calculations software i created to download sites to get backlinks from download sites?
Whether the backlinks from download sites is valuable?

Backlink is a good method for us,but i think you'd better not use the freeware,google could find out which way you have used.It worse for you.

I think I understand what you mean. You have made your own calculator software and are thinking of submitting it to download sites in turn receiving a back link for your site?

If I am correct this would be a good approach and would certainly earn your site some valuable back links.

I would avoid going crazy though and submitting it everywhere, make sure you use quality sites as it only takes one bad back link to harm your rankings.

Bad links can't harm your rankings matey so dont worry about that. SEO would be a much easier game if they could ;)

Do not discount the actual subject here, what your failing to remember is the fact the a niche tool can have incredible backlink bait attributes!

Niche tools that utilise a busy market can trigger great backlink growth, if people think of a good idea, and build the tool to requirements, it will become popular (with the right marketing).

Forget about download websites linking back for now, there are only very few that are credible such as Download.com and ZDNet, these other smaller download sites are pointless for backlinks, and many people do not like to trust these smaller download hubs, which are usually littered with ads.

Backlink bait is the key! the tool has the key to generating your website backlinks!
