freshbot vs deep crawl

We all know that the deep crawl is around the 1st week of the month, then google crunches that info to come up with their new and improved database which is put up during the "dance." Then, for certain sites freshbot comes thru (for us usually around the middle of the month) and grabs a copy of those sites, which is usually used for the cached copy that shows on the update. My question is this, if freshbot sees alot of changes to the site that took place between the deep crawl and the freshbot, does anyone know what version of the site google will use to determine placement and page rank?

Google will normally use the deep-crawled version. However, if your site has the "fresh" tag (with a date beside it), it will use the freshbot-crawled version for rankings.

Update your site as much as possible with new content and get as many links to it as you can. A site with a good PR and regularly updated content will get freshed almost every day.

motiv8x - from yor homepage, add a link to your links section. Structure your links in different pages with no more than 50 links per page. Look for sites which have a theme similar to yours and add their link to your links section. Then, email them directly saying that you've put their link up and would they be kind enough to reciprocate.

A good way of searching for appropriate sites is to do a search in Google using the keywords you're most interested in. Check out the links the sites in the top positions have and email the sites the links come from.

Gringo.

well, it's definitly accurate results...it uses Google's API.

the problem resides in the fact that google has more than one data center...most likely, you're not ALWAYS going to get the exact same answer.

Also, I have noticed the XML feeds are not always in sync with google.com

i'm currently working on a version that parses google.com directly, and inktomi.
