Is it fine to create links by forum signatures?
What I tried to mean.. I add my blog link in my forum signatures, and every post appears as google search result when I type this - "link" with the quotes in google bar. Can you explain me what does it mean. Is it a backlink and is it good to do this? Can this lead to a penalty? And also tell me what to keep from when I add my link to signatures and the like.

Isn't this similar to blog commenting that has caused so many people Penguin troubles? If I'm missing something of the finer details of what gets a pass and what doesn't, please fill me in.

Create link in signature is good SEO technique, created link will be count as a backlink if your fourm website is Do-follow website and Google will not penalize your website if your creating link through this technique.
