Red face Extreme Effects of SERPs Relevancy Algorithms Tweaking

The New rule of Google Search Engine Optimization
is that the Good Websites will have to pay for the BAD Ones

This is the first time in both
    SearchEngineWatch and
Google history - that this pre-eminent SEO website - Searchenginewatch

has ACTUALLY DROPPED out of the TOP 50 for the term

    search engine optimization

    http://www.google.com/search?q=searc...&start=50&sa=N

In trying to eliminate SPAM - it seems that Google has to Knowingly balance the fact that some VERY valid and popular Websites will be "de-prioritized" for the GOOD of the WHOLE

One good result is that sites like AMAZON - which -
between a high pagerank and SERVER-SIDE Scripting had managed to get one of it's e-commerce pages a top 20 ranking for virtually every competative term
    - blatently, instantly appearing in the SERPs whenever a new promotion product was given a page.

    This has been elimated noticeably

I think his observation is valid and something to think about.
I have switched up all of my efforts to include the construction of multiple websites for anything I want to go after online, simply because there seems to be no rhyme or reason to why some sites get dropped while others dont.

And with regards to his supposed spam. Everyone is here to manipulate search engine results. Judging what is wrong or right in that regard is increasingly a waste of time because it seems every day it's harder to cheat the algorithm.

Theming is in, without any doubt. I am shocked that you can even mention that statement. The fact is this forum do not support any ways of cheating, as at some stage Google will take you down! Call it SEO Ethics if you want, I call it logic! If you cheat and out rank me I will report you. Anyway I will certainly get Google's attention on the fact. So in a sense I like the cheaters, they proof to me that their SEO knowledge are restricted to unethical methods. Question, if the cheating helps you to rank better for the KW's you should rank for is it still regarded as cheating. Probable NO but the idiots trying to rank for non relevant kw's unfortunately will ensure that the others get penalized. Your opinion on that?

[QUOTE=Chatmaster]If you cheat and out rank me I will report you. QUOTE]

I wasn't trying to ignite anyone's passion here. You might want to watch it before you sound like that poor chubby kid who gets victimized on the playground every day at recess.

You seem very bent on eliminating 'cheaters'

Make an honest valuation of your own site(s), have you ever done anything to push up in the rankings above competitor sites you know to be more valuable to users than your own?

Is that not like cutting in line at the buffet table? It makes you a cheater, right?

Report all you'd like, I think you could spend a lifetime doing it to no avail. Google's philosophy on this is that the algorithm needs to eliminate 'spam', not mindless hours spent eliminating inquiries from the likes of you.

You seem touchy about the cheating bussiness, maybe a little guilt playing a role. "Just joking" All I am saying is that Google are trying to get results more relevant and if I can gain a position by reporting some shady methods I will. I try to walk the road as straight as possible and understand what the algo is really asking from my sites code. It certainly isn't asking for shady methods! That is the real way of getting on top. Believe me Backlink passion I have, chubby kid I am not! Sorry about your past experiences but get over it!

Lightbulb Google Bans SEO firm & Clients - Google now reads Javascript

    Ggle Reads Javascript?

    http://www.webpronews.com/printable.php

    http://www.girardgibbs.com/traffic-power.html

javascript redirects & deceptive doorway pages

But the fundamental purpose of any search engine is to offer relevant informaiton

If sites are pulled - the user still is deprived of THAT information

Perhaps the next evolution of search is to algorithmically neutralize those SEO affects - but still allow the VALID information to come up in relevant searches
