Page 6 - Experiment to test user behavior – please participate

I have a newer site with analytics, low competition, newer domain <6 months, next to 0 ibls, but also in a CMS systems with some drawbacks..

Let me know I will have to double check with customer though.

Third post since the original posting date. Still #10 here in Southern California (at least my datacenter) where ever it may be located.

#16 in Belgium

So seven days into experiment nothing has happened yet. keep clicking.. By the number that have said yes they are participating this site must be getting some fairly varied traffic from around the world, lots of clicks from credible IP adresses i would think.

If we keep this up for a couple of weeks we shouls see by then if there is going to be an effect.

My comment to others that have suggested alternative experiments. My encouragement to you. This is one of the things I most like about seochat people comming from all over the world to help each other learn.

Me too from the UK

I think Google analytics should be mandatory for being listed in google and then like you stated above(Although i don't agree it would effect it now) have the data, bounce rate etc... used to affect rankings. That would wipe our spam sites across all searches and would improve the SE results without effecting the user.

Sorry -- been away for a couple of days.

Visio -- I would love to do a similar experiment with an G-analytics page. I would have added it, but there wasn't enough time and I didn't want to change a thing in the code before trying the experiment. A couple more weeks of this one and we should move on to a different page.

Someone asked if the page was changed (sorry, forgot who). Nope, nothing has been changed on the site since December.


ONE IMPORTANT NOTE -- Is everyone logged into their Google account when they are clicking? The patent says it uses information collected from Google accounts.

I did more than once dam

This morning some movement in Hong Kong. The site had been sitting at 11 for a couple of days now but this morning it is at 8. Keep clicking, Other who are rerading even if not seochat members please participate. There may be some delay between the increased traffic and an upward movment in SERPs.

I see changes at my side as well. It was on position 11 from the beginning, now it is no.9 over here.

But still... keep clicking, because this move is not so significant that we could assume anything.

its #12 now; was #14 a week back..

I can't believe what you can get for just $30K! I need to cross the pond I think lol.

I believe more info may be able to be gained from Google user accounts such as the patterns of users(different computers, same person) etc however I don't believe it is needed.

It has moved up one position here from #10 to #9.
