Ever been called by Google?
This just happened to me.. very wierd.

They were calling "to confirm the address, email address and fax # of my business for Google search results"!?

I hung up on the guy.. I've never heard of Google calling anyone.. No need to.. All of that info is on my website anyway...

Anyone else?

About Adwords but not SERP - Are you sure you didn't sign up for a service that they might call about?

No they don't do that. It would have to be related to their tools or services.

Anybody calling me asking for or to confirm my contact info gets to have a conversation with Mr. Click... dial tone.

Anyone I want to know where I am and how to get in touch with me knows, or can find out pretty damn easily. And if they called me, they obviously know my phone number. Those calls are almost always sales people.

If you recently used your credit card in connection with some Google service that may be the explanation. (Sometimes payment processors etc. will call if they are unsure about an order in some way)

No they wont', they'll email. and even then, they won't ask for the information, they'll tel lu to update yourself.
