Duplicate meta tags from search & Sort

All of a sudden the Content analysis in google webmaster tools for my site is full of duplicate meta descriptions and duplicate titles. All of the duplicate problems are coming from 2 main reasons.

1. from searches. For instance here are 3 of many lines from the same page in webmaster tools:

‎/advanced_search_result.html?categories_id=&keyword=adorable
‎‎/advanced_search_result.html?categories_id=&keyword=adorn
‎/advanced_search_result.html?categories_id=&keyword=ark

So google is putting words in my search box and getting duplicates???

2. from sorts - I have long suspected this being a problem, but I don't know how to fix it.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I have managed to get so very far with reading these boards, and haven't had to hire anyone. For that I am forever thankful! I'm afraid this one may be over my head.

I think I've figured out how to fix the problem with robots.txt.

Either use robots.txt to:
Disallow /advanced_search_result.html?*
Or add a "noindex" robots tag to your search results page.
Or try to use tags to add a dynamic title/description to your search results pages (to include the search terms).

How will a KW rich url help solve a duplicate title/desc' problem?
Use a 301?? How/why?

That's exactly what I did! And I added another disallow to cover the sort. Thanks ClickyB!
