Rewrite your decriptions so they are unique? Or just remove them all.

Actually, if you have them all removed they will all register as duplicates in GWT. If you remove them though, the search engine will choose what text to display when someone makes a query. That can be both a good thing and a bad thing, personally I like the control but I'm a bit old fashioned as some here can attest to.

All you need to do is make each one unique, as KP said. If you remove them, you'll still see duplicates in GWT, but your users won't.

I don't believe having duplicate meta-descriptions will keep your site from ranking - but having unique meta-descriptions can entice click-throughs.

    Don't "restart your web" (LOL!)

Thanks to all the spammers and keyword stuffers, meta tags don't help with ranking anymore so your rank won't go up. What ElectricPrez is saying it having a description that describes the page appropriately will improve the chances that someone who sees it in the search results will be curious enough to click on your link.
oops! I think I got that wrong! Sorry

Are you sure it doesn't help your ranking AT ALL? I thought it does help, but very very little.

Absolutely, that's what Google says: "While accurate meta descriptions can improve clickthrough, they won't impact your ranking within search results."

I am agree with you & add some more things.

    1. Why GWT have section search queries containing clicks & CTR?

SEO can know CTR of keywords & try to re-define accurate meta description.

It's all about to make interesting meta description so, visitors can get more ideas before land to website. Don't stuff with keywords. Are you able to execute exact emotions of visitors what they are searching with help of meta description? If yes, so, visitors will read it & click on it. Visitors have no value of rank, they are searching some thing & inspire to click on unique + attractive one.

    2. Why Google does not contain meta description section to Advance search section?

If you will check advance search section, so, you will get idea about it. There is one attribute with following advance search facility. Google does not indicate meta description in advance search section.

Where your keywords show up: in the title of the page

Unique title tag & attractive + accurate meta description as per landing page content is one key to get success in SEO.

Google uses text from the page in that case. That's often far from optimum.

Have a look at the snippets when you use the site:domain.com search for example.
