Duplicate contents with competitiors

Hey Everybody. New to this forum. I have a client who wants to use the services provided by fitpronewsletter.com. They offer organic content to be sent out as email newsletters but from my search results, many of fitpro's clients use that content word for word in their blogs. From what i learned, duplicating copy from other sites is a no no. yet if i search a whole paragraph from Fitpro newsletter, i get thousands of search results from clients who just plug the content into their blog! Are these people actually benefitting from this "syndicated" content unintended for blogs?

If this is in the wrong section, sorry, Mods pls move.

Thanks.
Geoff

I think this kind of services are a not big deal. Since the content is over syndicated, you can get a duplicate penalization from the search engines, and you wont get any seo benefit.

If you have lots of sites all using the same syndicated news then why would anyone want to read the same articles on lots of different sites. Liklihood is that one site will already have a good readership for that material and getting them to switch to you will be near impossible.

I dont think there will be any problem with a duplicate content penaly as so many sites publsih press releases. The only problem I see is drawing in the readers who already go elsewhere.

Well the point of this email newsletter is targeted to a personal trainer's current clients and potential clients. Mostly regional. So some of you are saying syndicated website content is not good, some say is not bad. So what is the consensus? This content will be emailed to the clients anyways so this service is already paid for. Is it worth it to use them as blog posts too?

maybe i have to many different questions in 1 post but thnx for answering anyways.

If you google this in one tab:
Step One: Schedule Your Workouts You've heard this before, and it makes so much sense. If you treat your exercise time with the importance of a work meeting then you'd never skip a workout and you'd be in amazing shape

And this in another tab:
Remember this: if the thought that you should exercise this week is floating around in your head, but you haven't anchored it down to a specific time and date, then it will quickly disappear.

The first 10 search results out of 24,000ish results, you see the same sites but slightly in different order. How do these guys NOT get duplicate penalty?
