Duplicate content, but wanted duplicate content?

On one site that im designing for myself at the moment, there is a section for like New Services, and News.

These sections are displayed on each page, so basically the information is going to be the same on every single page. Is this ok?

The main content, meta tags, titles will be different, but there will be one,two or three divs full of content that will be repeated.

    Thankyou

that is the problem with most blogs

this is an example of duplicate content
    /blog-post-url/
    /tag/blog-post-url/
    03/2009/blog-post-url/
    category/blog-post-url/

there are two things you must do

    1. put nofollow on the secondary links (tag/archive/category)
    2. put the Canonical element on your Blog Post URL

how else are you going to do it then, theres a hell of a lot of popular sites out there that do this, ie repeat special offers on each page, or have a contact us section on each page.

Depends on how much other unique content is on the pages that the duplicate content appears on.

Do it like that if you want, but having duplicate content on all the pages will cause them to get filtered.

bear in mind you need link juice to the internal pages to also keep them from being filtered
