Dropping
From being on the first page of google and dropping dramatically to over page 10 within a week. How is this possible? I know moving up and down 3-4 spots is normal, but dropping over 100 spots in a week, that deffinately isn't a normal thing to happen. Any suggestions to getting it back there asap. Or a reason why such a dramatic drop so quickly?

By the way check your site for links out and just make sure someone hasn't hacked your site and added lots of links to bad neighbourhoods..

Stay commited to a lonterm strategy of making a site and pages that satisfy the visitor not the search engine. If you can make your pages more exciting and useful than your competitors you will win long term.

Its possible you could go back to normal very quickly. In the mean time I would suggest encouraging inbound links and continue to add great and unique content.

Just a stupid question...
Does GoDaddy host your website? If so I am having the same problems and have no idea why. A few days ago my site was locked up and I couldn't even log in because they were updating their servers... Now I'm on page 25 or so instead of #1 |

If you have paid for links Google may have caught up with that

First of all, Analyze your website to know why your website ranking gone down. If noticed correct it and start optimising it.
As there would be a number of things: 1) Website redesign / content change 2) Competition increase 3) Backlink drop etc... Cheers Dennis John |

I wouldn't panic just yet, I had a site lose just one of it's search terms by over 90 places last week, today the search term came back strongly.
