Double content ???

Hello,

I have a question about double content in & google.

I wrote some tutorials and posted them to my forum but now I want to remove the front website of my site and install wordpress in the root directory. Will this create double content in google once I start posting the same tutorials to the blog?

Yes, use 301 redirects from the old articles to the new articles.

All signals, including PageRank are transferred to the new page this way.

I think that is not what he was looking for? Why not just simply edit the tutorial a bit and post it on the blog, that won't be double content!

Yes it will be duplicate content. If you watn to use it in both places then one of them will be discounted in google (as in only one version will likely rank). I doubt you'd be penalized for it though.
