Domain search not showing
Hi

when I search my my full domain: 'www.topquoteonline.co.uk' on google it doesnt show, however if I search for 'topquoteonline' my site shows.

Also I've been indexed as https instead of http.

Any ideas?

The correct way to search for your url in Google..yahoo, msn is:
site:www.topquoteonline.co.uk

They'll then show you all the pages in your site they have indexed.

Thats great thanks

Any idea why my listing is https instead of http, all my inbound links point to the http. I do change to https when sombody provides personal details but this is only after submitting online forms which i beleive the return pages dont get crawled.

Links on your https form pages back to other pages in your site are probably relative ( example: /index.html ).

If you had complete links (http://www.yourdomain.com/index.html) you would remove the https listing problem, but your human visitors would get that warning screen telling them there is secure and unsecure things on page.

Yeah its becoming abit of a pain because google indexed my pages twice, once for http and once for https and I dont fancy getting hit with a duplicate penalty.

What confuses me though is that my site does turn secure unless a user submits a form and from my understanding bots dont spider form action urls.
