I'm assuming that many of these site reviews contain links to your website and are, by nature, highly relevant. If that is the case, then Google would certainly value these site reviews.

Im not sure how much good reviews relates to your organic results unless its a situation like aignam mentioned.

These good site reviews are definitely a plus for Google Local searches (the ones that show up on the map). It's one of the larger contributing factors to showing up in the Google 10-Pack as well as high up in the 10-Pack.

Out of curiosity, how are you receiving these reviews? What are you doing to promote visitors to leave reviews? Keep up the good work!

I think it's important to ask here who is doing the reviews and are you paying for them?

Because google doesn't like paid reviews and if it spots them you could be in for a smack..... Ouch!

realityhack agrees: Nods. Yep yep. Unless of course google is doing the paying.

Great reviews can never hurt. If you are getting backlinks from them, then even better. But people will still google you if your reviews are good. So just keep up the effort and you will notice a positive difference soon enough

What would you think of a company if you were searching for it and a negative review came up right on the first page?

Similarly, what would you do if a search for a partner, you were excited to work with, returns a rip-off review.

If you were like me, you would like to rethink going towards the company/partner... right? Why? ... because it decreases the credibility of the company.

Now consider this, if you weren't very sure about a company and upon searching it, come across a positive review right on the first page. What will happen?

Again, if you are like me, it is likely that you will view it more positively than before. The result - more chances of business.

So, keep up the good job and as craigc0302 said earlier, try to convert this 'contribution' from your clients into backlinks as well.

All correct, but keep in mind that a negative review isn't always a bad thing... as long as it is handled PROPERLY. By responding to it positively (helping the customer resolve an outstanding conflict with your business, etc), you will be proving to potential customers that you are willing to go all the way in customer service.

This will be as equally helpful as positive reviews are to you.

Just to make sure it's clear - be sure to post your positive responses on the same pages as the negative reviews whenever possible, otherwise you'll still lose those potentials that read the bad reviews.

If your customers like writing reviews on your site then have them do so on your local business listing. Now that will help.

I think there needs to be a proportionate amount of positive and negative reviews. Of course the type of negative review must be considered. If you found reviews for a certain site, company or what have you, and they were all positive, wouldn't you think its unnatural?

I would expect there to be some people who weren't "totally" pleased with a company. To me, it's more authentic.
