I always thought that it was better for you to have these reviews posted on your site as it added additional content and potential buyers or customers could see the review right next to your product. It appears that this is not the case since local listings have evolved so much lately. Lewisdb, how do you encourage/promote your visitors to write reviews on local business listings? |

It's not easy but I find that a follow up helps. Ask them.... I get on well with customers so it's easy to be a little cheeky |

That was exactly what I was thinking, a post sale email about 2 weeks down the road asking them to provide feedback for the product as well as their online experience with us. I thought about adding 2 or 3 links to the more popular online review sites and encourage them to add to as many as they wish.
Currently, we do not have any place for reviews of our products on our site. We thought about adding it to the site but not so sure after reading your [lewisdb] comments. Its probably easy to write about the site and company on these review sites but how do you go about getting product reviews? How would you instruct your customers to write a review on one of your products that would provide a benefit to you SEO-wise? Do you tell them to title the review "so and so?" Just looking to get a little more advice on how to instruct customers to do this in a way that will help build better results for the products. |
