Does Google index SSL sites?
Hi all
A simple question, will a website on a SSL secure server be listed on google (and other search engines). I have done a bit of research and most people seem to think not, but some places are saying google will index SSL sites. Thanks in advance Mat

Try the query inurl:https and you'll see about 12 million https:// websites

Thanks for your replies.
knowing now that SSL are indexed by google, my next question is will having my site on a secure server affect in any way either my PR or my chances of being indexed? Basically I want to know if there is any reason at all not to put a site on a SSL. Sorry if these are basic questions. I'm new to SEO Thanks again Mat
