    Disaster Preparation Site

    Hey guys,

I currently maintain the site www.disasterprep101.com. I have been having a good bit of trouble gaining better rankings, since there is already a plethora of sites and information on Disaster preparation. I am constantly fighting a battle with link directories and government sites. I am not expecting P1P1 results for every keyword, but at least top 30. I was wondering if anyone can suggest on how I can get better results. This site basically is promoting a comprehensive book on Disaster Preparation.

Ive read numerous articles on Google Optimization, and Ive tried to follow them to the best of my ability, but I am no expert.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, lots of .gov and strong .org and .edu sites in these SERPs. These have very heavy links hitting them. That is what you need to beat them.

Write some great free resources and ask the .org and .edu sites to link to you.

You are lucky that adwords are not extremely expensive.

I think that a PDF book is a great idea. And you can load that book with all types of links - to your own sites and to affiliate sites.

    Those are great link queries...thx!

dduck....if you are looking to boost keywords...and if you have any budget to promote...you might check out linkworth.com. I've used them and have a ton of relevant inbound links from their system.

if you're looking for the non paid help....I think something like linkpartners.com would be a good place. Of course, this is reciprocal linking...which would help, but you would have to put links on your site as well.

ok...i'm going to go use those search queries...i love new tricks
