Demotivated and Give Up :-(
I'm fairly new to SEO, but I have really taken the time to try and learn it as best I can. I have been trying to shift my website up the Google ladder for a few months now with pretty much no luck! :-(
I have set-up just about every blog you can imagine, have links pointing back from other respectable sites, think I have done my meta info correctly and hopefully have coded correctly too. My Google Webtools accounts looks in good shape, yet I am sitting at number 14.
My keywords are 'Edinburgh Choir'
My site is Edinburgh Choir - Edinburgh Popular Music Choir
Any tips from the experts? I'd be super-grateful! :-)

Any time I see someone post a single keyword or phrase for their site I impolitely think they are probably doing it wrong.
It sounds like you did a bunch of things in an attempt to promote your site. Great. But let's take a step back for a second.
What is the GOAL or PURPOSE of your site?
The reason I ask is that knowing what you want people to get out of the site, and at what step in the process is key to overall marketing, and will inform your SEO efforts.
Attract clients for singing lessons > you have a bunch more keywords to go after
Point clients to from a business card for more details > SEO might not be the right strategy
Use as a staff portal/client portal > SEO not required
