Confused - Home Page not ranking, inner pages are?

Confused - Home Page not ranking, inner pages are?
I am having an issue with my site.

It seems that google sees the site and all of the pages, but for some reason my inner pages are ranking better, even when I search for the company name.

I have created many sites and have never had this happen. The domain is 1 year old, never had old content on it.

Most of my links that I am getting are directed to the home page.

Suggestions?

You have to double check if your homepage does not contain duplicate content with the inner pages or other pages in the internet. Also double check if your homepage does not have meta index no index tag, just to make sure.

Maybe inner page is more relevant on your search term or targeted keywords.

Yes may be its a case of duplicate content. same thing was happend to me once but it was a temperory problem, you should change your content and edit metatags which may helps..

Some things to check:
  • The page is not blocked through the Robots NOINDEX tag
  • The page isn't penalized for spamming - search with the domain name to see if the homepage appears
  • Duplicate Content on the home page

If you're sure that none of the above has taken place with your home page, consider re-submitting the XML sitemap and see what happens....

Home Page is PR2
While page that ranks for my company name is PR0

As for these questions
The page is not blocked through the Robots NOINDEX tag
Page is not blocked

Page does appear when searching domain name
Duplicate Content on the home page
I have now updated my home page content.
