Competitors rank higher in Google internationally
I've been asked to look into why several known competitors' websites often rank highly in Google internationally, for example in Google Turkey, India and Pakistan whereas the site in question is much lower down the line or nowhere to be found?

I understand it could be down to volumes of backlinks, age of the domain, extension and anchor text - and that every site is different, with over 200 factors to look at but, is there any material which anyone knows of that would help clarify or explain this in more detail at all?

If anyone has any help it would be greatly appreciated!

I would just like to know the number of factors that Google considers when it ranks two similar sites for the same keyword in their International SERPs. For example, if I have a bathroom store and my competitor has a similar site with similar products, if I then do a search for 'bathrooms' in Google India (as an example) rather than the UK, what makes my site appear higher or lower than my competitor's website?
