    Strange Problem with Indexing

    Hi

We are facing a strange problem in getting some of our pages indexed.

    a) Most of the pages of the site are in index for more than a year, the site ranks for various keywords in first page,
b)The pages we are talking about are linked prominently from other pages - in fact one of them have two links pointing to it right from the home page.
    c) All the pages are in the sitemap, that has been submitted to Google's Webmaster tools panel.
    d) All of them have unique content and is presented nicely.
    e) They also have few external links pointing to them too
    f) We have recently added a blog to the site and the blog seems to be getting indexed pretty nicely but still no luck for these pages
    g) Checked server response for individual pages and they return 200

Still these pages are not in Google's index. I don't care about ranking at this point but I am going crazy trying to understand after all these what is preventing Google from indexing these pages ?

The domain is Mobile Game Development | Specialist Mobile Social Game Developers : [x]cube | Games

    the pages in question
/serious-games.php ( this is linked from the home page)
    /Android-Game-Developer.php
    /iPhone-Game-Developer.php

    Any help is much appreciated..

its because each of these pages has the wrong canonical tag. So the engines are skipping them and indexing the other pages. Heres what I found:

    /serious-games.php > /brand-games.php

    Duplicated here:
    /Android-Game-Developer.php > /brand-games.php
    /Android-Game-Developer.php > /iPhone-Game-Developer.php

    More Duplicated here:
    /iPhone-Game-Developer.php > /brand-games.php
    /iPhone-Game-Developer.php > /iPhone-Game-Developer.php

Remove the canonical tags on these three pages, and you should be fine!

Would also get the developers to sort out these problems as well, as your site is being indexed three times which will seriously piss Google off.

www(dot)xcubegames.com which is your master homepage is being duplicated by these.

    xcubegames(dot)com without the www.
www(dot)xcubegames.com/index.php (another duplicate of the homepage)

Also i would sort these out, either 301 permanent redirect to the correct place, if they are not longer in use redirect 301 them back to www(dot)xcubegames.com

    /images/header.gif
    /fonts/league_gothic-webfont.svg
    /fonts/myriadpro-regular-webfont.svg
    /blog/category/branded-games/wp-content/themes/gadgetry-parent/images/dafault_image.jpg
    /images/top_btn.png
    /blog/category/opinion/wp-content/themes/gadgetry-parent/images/dafault_image.jpg

Would also remove this. http:// twitter.com/#!/xcubegames remove the space in url, added to stop linking on site

and replace it with https:// twitter.com/xcubegames remove the space in url, added to stop linking on site (saves doing the 301 redirect and slowing the site down)
