Can google recognize the &reg command in the MEta description?

I know this is a weird question but is there a way that I can get the registered trademark symbol to show up in my meta description? I know for HTML text its &reg but does that work for the META title or META description?

Lol, would it want to? What is the point? Does Google use those things if you have some content?

I'd go for the content first, and if that doesn't work, add you meta thingy there. Who knows, it might get you an 'also ran' or something.

No, forget what I said, just go for the content. Write it yourself! Really, it's as easy as that!

    Interesting thing just hit me...

With all G's filters, etc. do you think they add weight to KWs followed by a TM or R symbol?

I've defintely seen it in the SERP where the description will show the registered trademark symbol. The only problem is that its being taken from text on the page. I would like to have it in the META description and was wondering if it would show up there. The point is that a few companies are using a term that we trademark and registered on advertising on adwords. We would like to make clear that its a registered term and would like for it to show up everywhere including the meta description.
