Google has created several technologically related special searches each for a computer platform and 'Microsoft' is one of them. There is no tie up or deal.

ah i see so if you are looking for a graphics card, it will be just like searching, "microsoft graphics card" without the quotes.

The URL's u mentioned clearly use search appliance..microsoft shouldnt use it anyway

I thought that only yahoo will team up to Microsoft! Well, the results are all related to Microsoft.
I think this is not a workout between google n microsoft, its just another service by Google that will surely gives accurate result if you are looking for Microsoft products.

You see, Why not Wikipedia? Why not Amazon? Why not wal-mart? Why not Macy's.. thay are all big brands as well.. Why microsoft alone has a special setup..?

in term given by you if u try to find anything u will get special search of perticular company related results from all websites.

its a not question of rival its a question of market leadership

this ways google creating huge competion for google custom search websites also.
