Blog vs html pages
I'm about to write a series of landing pages. These pages will be a roundup of the best, recent content etc.

I've never really used my blog to get traffic. I'm not sure how it will compare to a well written html page.

It will be far easier to use the blog, but I'm happy to put in the extra time if need be.

Blogs often do not have good optimization. I spent most of the weekend tweaking a blog for better SEO and better presentation of ads, subscription tools.

Check the URLs, the title tags, and the HTML mark-up that the blog is producing. You might need to change the template and settings to get it optimized as well as an HTML page.

If you can get it optimized it will probably work fine.

Wordpress offers good opportunity for this one, you can set the homepage as a static page and you can create static html pages.

You can customize the URL's to become search engine friendly. Also you can SEO the Wordpress Blog much easily than other blog publishing platforms.Other important SEO aspects such as sitemap, internal linking, navigation is customizable in wordpress.

Most of the articles I wrote is published in blogs. I do not have serious problems though with respect to traffic and ranking.

Thanks guys, the blog I have installed is wordpress. I have friendly URL's turned on etc.

I'll check everything is SEO'd, but I think it is.
