BLOG and ping lead to instant indexing?

Just did a search here and couldn't find anything on this topic that I was sent info on earlier today....

Seems that someone is now claiming that they can get their site indexed within about 5 days....

I've read the .pdf cover to cover, and I'll be danged...it sounds odd, but....well...

Anyone else who might wanna try to look at this and let us know what you all think would help I believe...

The link to the PR outlining where to go is here...http://www.emediawire.com/releases/2005/1/emw195537.htm

Oh, I hope it's okay to actually list this emedia wire site here....if not, MODS delete it...you can also reach same via my sig...

    Looks a bit odd...

I can usually get a site indexed within a few days by making a link to it on one of my pr 5 or 6 sites. Doesn't mean it ranks right away, but the spiders will find it right quick. Maybe I'm overlooking the difficulty in that?

yes, it works. Lots of folks are raving about it and there's even someone who has setup a service that charges you to post entries to your blog

Pure spam but it seems to work atm. How long? probably not much longer now that the word is out about it.

Rather entertaining technique but it does seem to work well.

You don't get listed instantly but it does make the serps come around much faster than they normally would.

I agree, a link from a high PR site seems to do the trick rather well.

Ah...the deeper you dig on this the more you find out.

It doesn't work for Google. There's a guy peddaling some snake oil ebook around (sorry I'm not posting the link or text to encourage them) on guaranteed search engine indexing.

It works for Yahoo(so far). Solution - start a blog and make sure the site feed is turned on. Next create a my.yahoo account. Paste your blog link into it's "add content" section then go to pingamatic and ping my.yahoo. Spider bait and it works very fast.

However the ebook guy's "100% surefire Google method" was a bit of a joke. He links to his new site with links from 4 or 5 links from existing sites. He then buys a PR6 link and guess what he gets spidered. It's what people have been doing for ages.

It's no big secret - just hype so don't waste your money.

The blog is indexed within 24 hours. You have to just know how. No high PR back link is required. Just a few back links from some good blogs is all that is required. By good blog it does not mean a high pr blog, but a blog which is updated regularly and of course you have to submit to rss feeds too.
