    Blackhat SEO?

I tend to search alot for sites that are using blackhat, and see how it goes against/for them and find a way of using it in a way that is considered white hat.

But you can only go so far, such as cloaking, that is pretty blatant and will most likely get somebody banned from google.

anyway just wanted your guy's opinion on this site i found

    http:// www. ay4web .com/
compared that page to google's cached version of it, click this link to see:
    http:// 72.14.207.104 /search?q=cache:-lP2W2fe5R0J:www.ay4web.com/+ay4web&hl=en
(delete spaces in above links to make them live)

it appears that they are cloaking, am i correct?

They are not cloaking they are using frames.
Next time post the URL without the spaces.

    • Mano70 agrees : Yup. Seen this on many sites using frames. I even rebuild one framed site like this so I know for sure it wasn't anything wrong execept frames

frames would not make google display only a blank page in its cache, yet when u view the source there is tons of condensed keywords etc

    get your facts straight

    • sorvoja : I have my facts straight. The Google catche is identical to the source. Try the info:www.ay4web.com serac h and compare the cache source against the page source.
    • : Just becuse you arent able to see what the more experienced seo`s can see dosent mean you should snap

Actually, cloaking doesn't get you banned very often.

Wow, now that is an endorsement Geofrey can be proud of. Sounds like the start of a great sales pitch for SEO work. LOL

I use both WH and BH. Some of my sites are pure WH. Some are pure BH. I don't believe their is any Grey area.

When I use BH techniques on some of my projects I'm not concerned with getting banned. So I use any thing and everything. BH is extremely usefull for quick actions, and pay offs. Not for longliveity. I would never use BH on my regular sites. I've also found BH to be extremely habbit forming. I love manipulating SE, it's become a sport. I do not consider BH bad or evil. It's fun and entertaining.

Hahhaha Mick is right...I've had blogger.com ban me, wordtracker, Google, Yahoo and maybe a few others I don't know about yet

I shouldn't have gotten banned from wordtracker. that one is still ticking me off even though it was temporary

    banned by google and yahoo...

as a person who has banned by google and yahoo multiple times - i would say that content generation is definitely the easiest way to piss of the search engines.

Of course, it is easy to just cg the next site minutes later elsewhere and start the process over again.

Using their service too much Here's the tech support answer:

    Hi Geoffrey,

Your account has been placed on a temporary ban by our sentry. The sentry kicks in when it spots irregular behaviour. Sometimes people just enter terms into the simple search and then use a competition search on each which isn't the best way to use Wordtracker. The best way to use it is actually to build up your keywords first, then trim them, then run competition searches.

I have reset your account. But could I remind you that the max is really ordinary searches: 1500, lateral searches: 250 and competition searches: 250 per day. Normal useage for most users is about 25% of this anyway.

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience.

    Kind regards,

Yeah, for that reason I couldn't be TOO mad I may have to switch to using their API in the long run if I'm gonna continue trolling for keywords.

My brother has amassed a keyword list of about 700,000 keywords - truly amazing!
