I need to add a blog and forums to a website and wondered if anyone can recommend an easy blog script and forums script to use, both will be onsite on the actual website themselves too.

Go to www.opensourcecms.com. Best place for open source....You can test the same on live site.

If your host offers cpanel(if not I think you might have an old host who isn't giving you what you deserve) then you can install a variety of blog and forum software instantly.

EDIT: Brad next time please try and find the most appropriate category. Didn't even notice it was Google discussion...

Just installed wordpress. Its great now but took about 5 days to get past several bugs. Some silly errors I think and it doesnt like it if you have resirected http too http//www. version of your site.

But like the guy above says its got lots of plug ins and themes. I quite like it now.

But it doesn't work on ASP/MSSQL... My hosting is windows based so I need a blogging software that runs on ASP/MSSQL. Can anyone tell me about that???

You can run PHP and MySQL on Windows..

or are you on one of those hosting accounts that won't let you install new DB's and dev environments?
