Sorry but no they are not.

Article submission implies you will be submitting different articles to different sites, which can be good if your submitting to the right places. IE niche sites which offer authority in your market.

Article syndication on the other hand implies you will be having the same article as are on your own site, syndicated to other sites, which are (the majority of times, from what I have seen) spammy, don't rank well and most certainly don't other authoritative links back to you.

So in short, if you want to go down the route of sharing your content, make sure your sharing original content not the same old articles over hundreds of sites and for better links, submit to niche sites which will gain you better links in the long run rather then sites such as ezine.

I suggest doing guest blogging because you can find better sites in your niche which will only accept quality articles and will have them displayed for longer in most cases.

Try myblogguest.com if you want to do guest blogging, but make sure you stick to the rules because its a great site and community

Unfortunately the article directories don't even require articles to be unique. Not that this would matter because then tons of low quality blogs republish them anyway.

Maybe the only good "article directory" now is the one in MyBlogGuest which allows only unique articles and they are only published once as guest-posts.

Saying that, anyone aware of similar service as MyBlogGuest? Would be nice to have some more of these.

Really? All the article sites I have used always check for duplicate content so not sure what low quality sites you have found for spam? lol not a dig at you by the way, just a joke

MBG is the only one of its kind I know and trust, I have had a lot of guest posters from it for my guest blogging site (google guestbloger if you want to view it to see that none of the content has been posted on other sites).

As far as i understand both are not same. In simple article submission one just submit his/her articles to various sites (mostly people do it in one sitting).

but in article syndication you need to follow following steps

Step 1 : First post article on your own website (or any other high quality website)

Step 2 : Once it get indexed by search engine , Submit the same article to various high pagerank articles websites (keeping the same author information) in batches. Subsequent batch should be submitted once the prior batch get indexed

May be i am wrong but this is my understanding. Do let me know if this is not the correct way
