Webiste Help Please Xxxxxxxx
Hi guys and ladies.
I have been changing my website the last 4 weeks due to the fact that I realised that my Meta tags were infact nothing to do with what I sell! (Yes I was having a blonde moment) Infact what I came to realise is that everything I had been doing was quite bad, though sells are good so I must be doing something right. I was wondering if you kind chaps would look at my site and tell me if there are anything’s that would be good to improve ranking. As I have only changed my keywords how long until Google see my changes and act on them. Thank you everyone xxxx : ) my website is shown on my profile but is called naughty-creations Last edited by naughtyone : August 3rd, 2008 at 05:42 PM. |

OK, firstly - don't worry about meta tags they are the biggest waste of time in SEO. (read the link in my sig)
The URLs all look good and spiderable. I notice you have a lot of CSS style code in the page, this should be in an external CSS file. Its better for search engines and users. Doing that actually gives a slight performance increase in navigating through your site due to the code being cahced rather than re loaded on every subsequent page. All your category links should have the ALT attribute with the keyword in. When an image is linked this effectively becomes the anchor text. Thats quite an important one. The heading and sub headings should be <h1> and <h2> tags not styled span elements. This is another fairly important on page issue. Some keyword research would probably uncover some more relevant and better keyword to target. Other than that it looks quite good.

Things would be easier for everyone to understand if the correct words were used. Why do you speak about "alt and title tags" while referring to alt and title attributes? Time for a reminder about HTML TAGS: Quote:
<a> is a tag. Alt is an attribute of the <a> tag. Last edited by Keiros : August 5th, 2008 at 06:42 PM. |
