What do you mean?

They are not treated the same.

site.com/showthread.php?t=344217

is not treated the same as site.com/how-to-make-money.html

Both are crawled, both indexed but believe me they are not treated the same. If you can try and always modrewrite dynamic to html and then 301 the old files to the new. I have seen great increases in indexed pages and rankings after doing this.

I asked because i want to write an article about dynamic pages and the process of search engine optimization. I know what is it about but i was wondering if there are any news related to this subject. I stumbled a little bit and the news about this topic were from 2006. Basically a don't want to say something that is already sad

I have seen similar behavior on several of my sites but would like to see someone else come up with the same findings.

This would also explain why mod rewrite does work and is an important step to take when using scripts.

I find a simple mod rewrite from dynamic to html can make a large jump in rankings. Most don't realize the difference between dynamic and html, it can be a huge difference.
