Any Help appreciated

I read that article before posting this but I am still in the dark regarding my problem I have had my site up for a least 6 months and my ranking with google was not too bad even though I don't know what I am doing SEO wise. However just this week I have disappeared from the google search except through 2 links and when I place a direct search for my site using the direct Page Name It still does not appear! I have done nothing wrong knowingly! recently I picked up some links from forums and also through Craigslist, are these considered Evil? also I don't understand those instructions on how to tell if my site has been banned, can someone clarify this procedure. Any help on this problem would be appreciated.

Send a message via MSN to seomonkeymanocp
are you linking to any websites which you should be? i.e. websites with spam, keyword stuffing, duplicate content, websites linking to porn etc.

These could affect rankings

Hello Seomonkeymanocp, I am only linked to craigslist plus a very legitimate Photo display site, and 1 or 2 Architecture and design chat forums such as this one. Also what is keyword stuffing?

Keyword stuffing is using too high a keyword density and not distributing keywords throughout content logically.

The Keyword Stuffing Is something I may have been doing, I have removed all of that and wrote much less of them into a beginning discriptive article about my site. Also what Is Duplicate content? I recently by Mistake Placed 2 duplicate ads on Craigslist linking to my Domaine Name, could that have been the problem, it seemed like it happened right after that!

It could also be ...

that the algorithm is changing and you don't have the newly weighted factors in place.

If the links you had were weighted well and then, through an adjustment, their weight was reduced your rankings are going to feel the effect. The same can be said about content, etc. etc.

The solution? Depends on exactly what the problem is but to me it sounds link you have few links and they all are of the same type/format. Perhaps some quality link building is in order.

Good advice on the keyword stuffing as well.
