Have a look at these 3 URLs
www.mysite.com/testpage.asp www.mysite.com/testpage.asp# www.mysite.com/testpage.asp? The difference is due to # and ? Will google index these URLs as three different if I link them from my site pages or not ? |

Google will most probably index only www.mysite.com/testpage.asp

Totally agree with pro_seo. If you talk about below 3 url then bot index only testpage.asp but if your site have query string after the url like -- mysite.com/testpage.asp?session-3 -- then googlebot index it differently. Googlebot can index dynamic pages with query strings.
Hope this will help you. Quote:

Assuming the contents is the same, it will conclude it has to pick up one as the canonical URL and it is very likely that it will be /testpage.asp. In this case, the weights of the links pointing to the three URL's will be passed to the canonical URL. Assuming the contents are different (would be pretty unusual), it would make sense that all three URL's are indexed each for its respective contents. Jean-Luc
