anchor text -- too little/too much?
How important is anchor text? I have a number of site mao style search engine helper pages that I would like to work on to increase my PR.
Will adding the headline and abstract of the article in to the anchor text help my page rank, or risk it considering the length og text within the link? Has anyone ever heard of anchor text in a link being too long for search engines to consider valid? Thanks in advance! Brien |

Brien - no problem wity long anchor text, but is that what you really want? Consider how you want your users to find you - if the anchor text in links to your pages matches the searches users are doing, Google will rank your pages higher.
I can't see users doing massively long searches so just use your main keywords for anchor text. Think how you would do a search for your articles and then use that text in the link. Gringo. |

Again I agree with Gringo .. although he keeps beating me to the posts..
I suggest you make sure the word proximity is kept as good as possible, that's very important
